      I recd. yrs and shall be very glad to see you at Newby when you come so nigh at Yorke,  I designe for Richmond on Monday but shall returne on Thursday, and then if you’ll do me the fav[ou]r of yr Compy you’ll much oblige yr most Humble Servt.



Mr Field to be left at Dr Johnson’s house till called for.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
