      I thank you for the fish This is the first I have seen of the Kind this year we all Differ here much as to what sort of fish it is some saith it is a Salmond Trout & some a Burne Trout & Others saith it is Quite of an another specie but Let them call it what they will Ime sure it is Extrordionary good fish for I have made my supper of it this night I have seen & eat of a  trout which was taken out of Driffeild beck which was sent to my lord archibishop which weighed 5 pound more then this & as <read> as any salmond Pray tell Thomas Thomson that Ile receive no moneys from him but that I order him to pay it to your it self when you send the 2 Leaces they shall be Executed & returnd them pray give me an Acct assoon as possibly you can how poor Mr Lambton does If he have only an Ague shall send him a plaster which will most Certainly Cure him I am
