I perceive by yrs tht you have sent Mr. Darcy a letter, by a Safe hand, am Sure if he Sent a Servt. over to See him he would not go without him, he was a backerley Calf & is not 3 years old till MidSummer, I cannot Convenietly keep him, so pray dispose of him for £8 or 8 Guinys, or more if you can get it, pray take an opportunity to See Mr. Manliverer at his own house, assoon as conveniently you can, & you will oblige

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
