I recceived yor favours of the 17th & am much oblidged to you, for your kind inquiry after my health, indeed I have been much out of order for some months past, for the Loss of my deare wife lyes very heavy upon me, I design not to go to Yorke till after Christmas.   Its my opinion Mr Jenkins petition will not be heard this Sessions, being there are soe many lodged before his all this Family are yor humble Servts & assure yourself I am yor affect huml Servt.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
