Sir Sept 16 Since my Return out of the North have Discoursed Tom Body about the Debt which is Owing him by my old Servt. Kitchin he told me that he gave you a note undr his hand that he would not trouble him provided you paid him forty Shill a year till the Debt was run out, and that he has Recd. of you four pounds for two years, and that there will be another Year due shortly – so a very little time will run out the whole Debt. I offered him £5 to quit the Debt, he said he would be too great a loss in case he should take any such Sum, when you come into the Country again will Discourse <him> with you and shall do my Endeavr to bring him as low as possible not to be too great a loosr.
