May 8 1710 Sr, I had the favr of yr Lettr of the 5 past. Am sorry I have not a bull calve for yr friend Mr Bilton for they were all disposd of before you went from hence but another year yr friend may depend upon me. I perceive by the news paper last post that the whole officers of one English Regiment was cut off in the Trenches. Capt Burton writ their Regiment was at the Siege. I writ it was not his fortune to be in the Trenches. It was a great oversight of him that Commanded the Seige that did not support them & deserves to be called to an Acct for it.
