I receved yours of the 16th assoon as it could come by the post, and I am sory I have not yet thanked you for it sooner in letter, though it was an answer to mine, but it was soe friendly a retorne it deserves several letters of mine to repeate my thankes to you. I am very glad to heare you are in good health and noe frend you have wisheth the continuence of it more heartily than I doe. I shall goe to London a Tuesday seavennight wch is 14 days sooner then I intended. I shall be in London the 14th of Oct: it is privet buseness calls me there. I am really

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
