                   In Durham



Sir

	I should have been glad if you had favoured me with an Answer to my Letter of the 4th. of last Month - the payment of the £100. 6s. 10d due from Mr Bacon Forster’s Ex[ecu]tors would be very Convenient, as I am going to make Sir Wr. Blacketts Pay for Weardale Mines & want Money.

	As to the Postea, if I do not hear something satisfactory from you in a little time I do not know what way Sir Walter will have to remedy the loss you mentioned but an Application to the Judge who tryed the Cause.  This or something else must be done soon so pray favour me with a Line upon this Subject                                                                            I am etc        HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
