Letter – Henry Richmond to George Douglas – 14 Mar 1766

Sir        I received your Letter of the 7th instant inclosing me your Bill on Mr William Brown, at sixty days from that date, for sixty pounds; which as Mr Brown has accepted I shall place to your acco[un]t with Sir Walter Blackett, and when paid it will be so much in part of the Four fothers of refined Lead, which in that Lre you desire me to deliver to your Broker- Mr Graham. You will please to remember that when you spoke to me upon charge about that Lead, and said you would pay ready money for it, I then told you the price of it would on that condition be fifteen pounds five shillings p[er] fother: and yet you have sent me this Bill at sixty days for it! however I shall not for this time charge you higher tho’ I get the same price & better payment for the largest quantities. P.S. The Broker has not yet been with me for the Tickett so you had better write to him about it. I am etc         HR
