Near Darlington

Sir              Sir W[alte]r Blackett having occasion again to renew a Lease in which your name is inserted begs you will get the inclosed certificate signed by the Minister and two of the Churchwardens of your parish which I think is Croft, if not, please to take the trouble of writing the certificate over again and when you have got it signed to return it to etc.

P.S. Any expense this may occasion I shall repay you when we meet. I am etc     HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
