Letter – Henry Richmond to George Selby – 5 Mar 1774

Sir

	I have acquainted Mr Darwin as you desired that Mr Lodge of Grey’s Inn is your Agent and that he may give him the Copy of the Deed vesting the Term of 500 Years in Mr Darwin but he writes me that he shall not make Copies of any other Deeds ‘till it is pointed out to him what is wanted and till he knows who is to pay him for them - for Copies of all the Title Deeds will come to £20 or upwards and this Expence he says can never fall upon Sr Wr Blackett but upon the purchaser so you must settle this point among you as I wrote you on the 25th Ult and there I shall leave it - Mr Darwin will take Sir Walter Blackett’s directions whether Mr Fawcett or some Counsel in London is to be employed on behalf of Sr Wr Blackett to peruse the Drat after Mr Duane has approved of it - I conclude by the time I got your Letter of the 2nd instt you would receive mine inclosing the Boundaries you wrote for
