S[i]r          The inclosed deed of Gift from S[i]r W[alte]r Blackett for the augmentation of the Curacy of Birtley is sent to you by the desire of Dr Sharp; who said he would give you proper directions about the inrolm[en]t of it. I am etc          HR



21 Sep[tembe]r      Advised Dr Sharp of the bill I sent him yesterday & of the deed of Gift sent today to his Brother.           HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
