To Mr Isaac Hunter at Dukesfield Newcas. 19th July 1771 Sir I cannot tell how to give directions about rebuilding the Houses at Lintzgarth that were burnt on the 8th instant till I have some Conversation with you about them and in the meantime wish you could get a Survey & plan of the ground which is let for Ten pounds a year & of the Situation of the Mill & Mill Clerks house etc with respect to that Farm. The Assay which you sent me of Dry Sike Lead is 6 oz. 10 <scruple or dram> 3 grain so I have told Mr Mulcaster to refine what comes of that sort. I find Rookhope Lead now comes in very well and hope it will continue to do so. By your Letter of the 30th Ult. I see you have taken some pains to Examine into the Difference between the Delivery of the Ore last Year from the Mines and the receipt of it at the Mills & hope for the future we shall have more Accuracy in those Articles. I shall be glad to know, but possibly Mr Heron may write me, what is done at the Sessions about the Indictment of the Lead Way near Hedley. I am etc HR
