Dukesfield



Sir               As I conclude most of the Lead that was in the Ways at Xmas will be got in by the Time you receive this, I desire you will proceed to get the new Lead away from the several Mills as fast as possible. It may be right as you propose to set on the Allanheads Carriage immediately and then try the Rookhope Carriers whether they will take the last year’s price of 9s. I would also have the Dukesfield Lead moved away as fast as you can. And if there should be any stop about price from any of the Mills I must leave it to your discretion to make the necessary advance; for the lead must be got to Market before winter if possible, & time must not be lost in writing backward and forward. I did imagine you had got some Acco[un]t of the Lead Mr Reynaldson had received at Blaydon to Xmas; but as it is otherwise you may keep your Decem[be]r qua[rter]s acco[un]t open till you hear further; which I hope will be soon.
