To Mr Isaac Hunter Jun[io]r At Dukesfield Newcas[tle] 23rd August 1765 Sir On receipt of this I desire you will send a special messenger with the inclosed letter to Mr Westgarth. Mr Swinburn has desired Liberty of Sir Walter to get stones in Woodcroft Estate; for the building or reparing a wear upon his estate; Sir Walter readily agrees to give him this Liberty, & you are desired to see Mr Greenwell, his agent, and tell him so; but you will enquire of him where he proposes getting them & tell him he must satisfy the tenant for the damage that may be done; if the stones are to be got out of any quarry it must be wrought fairly. Mr Swinburn says he gave leave formerly for Sir Walter to get stones in his estate on a like occasion; pray when was that? P.S. You may tell Mr Hopper that Mr Atkinson has given me a satisfaction about the matter. As to the Division of Bollihope it is put upon every good footing I think, & I hope the Gentlemen will give their opinion as requested how much of the common is worth the expence of an Act etc. I am etc HR
