Sir

	The Two pieces of Silver you sent by this Days Carrier came safe - the Weight of the one being Seven hundred & Fifty nine Ounces and the other Six hundred & Eighty six ounces - You say in your Letter that you will be here on the 7th or 8th instant; but as Mr Mayor will be out of Town after Monday the 7th you had better come on that day and be here about Ten o’Clock in the Morning                                                                                  I am etc      HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
