I desire to have your pay as soon as you can & that you will let me know how much you think it will amount to. PS. You see there is An Advertisement desiring the proprietors will not pay their proportions of the Charge made by the Com[issione]rs of Bulbeck Division, Such a Notice puzzles me to know what to do - I think I had better postpone paying Sr Wrss Share a little while till I see further. Or can get his own direction about it; & this you may tell Mr Marriott. I am etc HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the generous support of other sponsors. Friends of the North Pennines: Charity No:1137467
