To Mr Bell at Mr Ellis’s in Hexham Newcas[tle] 1st Aug[us]t 1766 Sir Inclosed is a copy of your list of the proprietors of the Allotments of Dotland Comon, with such terms add to their names as Sir W[alte]r Blackett thinks they should each of them pay annually as acknowledgements for their tythes for the <three> years. As to the Hay of St John Lee Kirk farm, Sir W[alte]r desires you will get it valued and let me know what it is worth. Mr Robson talks of being at Hexham soon and that he will value it but as he may not come & Sir Walter wants it done directly I think you had better get two indifferent men to do it. Sir W[alte]r intends Mr Leeke shall have it but then he is to take the farm for 21 years from May d[a]y last at the old rent and execute a lease accordingly. I shall be glad if you will send me a description of the farm and any thing else that you think necessary to put into the Instruction for drawing the Lease. I am etc HR
