As to what you say about the Letter from My Brother, I suppose it must have been written before the 31st of last Month – for the day before That Sir Walter told me he would acquaint my Brother of his intention to let Mr Heron have the Business that arose within the Manor of Hexham, the next time that he saw him. & he saw him on that day I mean the 31st – this is all I know of the Matter at present – pray when was the Letter dated? Mr Walton was not in Town Yesterday; as soon as I see him I will mention what you desire, but I am affraid Matters are gone too far for him to suspend them. I hope when the Serjeant comes home you will find the distress has been properly made and that there is no occasion to ask the favour. I go to Berwick again on Tuesday but expect to return on Thursday. I am etc HR
