Letter – Henry Richmond to John Bell – 19 Jun 1768

To Mr John Bell at Mr Ellis’s Hexham                                                 Newca[stle] 19th June 1768

Sir

I am surprised as well as you at the mistake which My Brother has made in the Lease of Stublock Colliery; because as you say the Draught was altered, & besides I acquainted him of the intention that the Lessees were to stand upon the old Agreement for the first 8 years. I shall see him to morrow about it & think you had better return the Lease to me by the Carrier.

Mr Forster & Mr Ladler will be at Hexham the beginning of next week, if not sooner, to treat with Mr Harbottle – but as to the tithes Mr Forster thinks it too soon to value them I am etc    HR
