To Mr John Bell at Mr Ellis’s Hexham Newca[stle] 8 Novemr 1768 Sir Inclosed are the two parts of the Agreement between Sir Wr Blackett and Mr Errington for the Land at Hallington both w[hi]ch Sir Walter has signed and when Mr Errington has done so, you may return me one part, to be kept here; and you will please to acquaint Mr Errington that the rent must be paid to me, as this Ground now belongs to Ryal Estate; which is in my receipt. Sir Wr desires if Mr Errington has not already paid for the first Survey of the ground exchanged that you will pay the bill to Marshall and Longlands, and if you bring it to Wallington I will repay it you on the rent day; which will be on the 24 instant & I propose being there the Evening before. I have fixed the pays, after waiting long for the Acco[un]ts, in the following manner – The Stewards to be here on Sunday Evening the 27th instant – receive their Money on Monday – to go Newho[use] with it on Tuesday – make Weardale pay on Wednesday the 30th instant - & Allanheads and Coalcleugh on Thursday the 1st of Decer – what Money you can furnish me with on or before That Monday, will be acceptable & I hope you will be able to go to the pays with the Stewards as I doubt I shall not be able to go – I shall be glad to know whether you can meet me at Wallington. P.S. We will talk about Keenley when I see you at Wallington & am etc HR
