To Mr John Grey Attorney at Law Newcas. 2nd Novr. 1771 In Berwick upon Tweed Sir I have this day reced your Letter of the 31st Ult. that Mr Collingwood has signed receipts for the Interest & a part of the principal due on Sir Walter’s Bond, But you do not say That an Endorsement is made on the Bond as I desired, & as it is necessary should be made by Mr Collingwood; [Next sentence struck out in original:] Neither do you say that the receipts are proper receipts, such as I sent you. You will please to let me know when this is made in proper form and I shall give an Order or send a Bill for the Money - tho I wish you would send me Copies of the receipts & then I can tell better how to give the Order.
