To Mr John Grey - Attorney at Law Newcas. 24 Janry 1771 In Berwick upon Tweed Sir Mr Lambert left me your Letter desiring I would order 9d. in the po[un]d, I think it was, to be paid you towards defraying the Expence of the Application to parliament for an Act to regulate the fishing in the Tweed - but some how, amongst the several papers I then had before me, I have mislaid your Letter, & therefore desire you will let me know what Sum you want of Sir Wr. Blackett & whether the rate is 9d. in the pound - & I desire at the same time you will be so good as send me a Copy of the Agreement signed by the proprietors for the purpose of raising Money for this Business, with the Names of those that have signed the Same.
