Letter – Henry Richmond to John Sadler – 24 Aug 1770

To     Mr John Sadler at Rothley Park                                            Newcas.   24th Augst.  1770



Sir    Sir Edwd Blackett desires a Buck may be killed tomorrow and that you will send half of it to Matfen on Monday morning - the other half you may send hither by Wm Hall the same day.  As to the shoulders Mr Forster and you may use them.  You will observe the directions in my last Letter punctually not withstanding this order.

     Pray tell or send Word to Mr Duffield to send a Dozen or two, of Nectarines with a Melon or some other Fruit to Sir Edward with the half Buck.  I don’t suppose from what he said when here, that any Pine Apples are ripe.  I desire you will let William Hepple carry Sir Edwards Venison & also when he goes to the Bishop of Chesters that you will let him take the inclosed Card with the Venison for his Lordship.
