Letter – Henry Richmond to John Sharp – 4 Feb 1764

I received a letter lastnight from Sir W[alte]r Blackett in wch he directs me to get an article prepared for the purchase of Mollersteads agreeable to the conditions insisted upon by Mr Thirlwell for it : but before I speak to Mr Dodds who I understand is Mr Thirlwells Attorney abo[u]t this matter I shall be glad to know, if you can inform me Mr Thirlwells Christian name & his proper Additions & also the proper description of the Estate to be conveyed & the time wch has been proposed for y[ou]r paym[en]t of the purchase money, with any other particulars wch may occur to you as necessary to be included in the intended article.

As soon as I am favoured with your answer I shall wait upon Mr Dodds & get him to draw up article accordingly. One part of wch I will send to Sir W[alte]r to execute & the other, if you please will  send to <your> or leave with Mr Dodds. to get Mr Thirlwell to execute as you think best. The proper time for paym[en]t of the purchase money I think should be on the Execution and Exchange of the Deeds of Conveyance of this Estate to Sir Walter; unless any other time has been fixed: tho[ugh] I think it cannot prudently be sooner than that.

I shall wait upon you at Hartburn or any where else that you please to appoint whenever you think my doing so will tend to further Sir W[alte]r Blacketts intentions in this matter.
