Sir             You were very obliging in mentioning the omission of delivering notice at the first meeting of the Com[missione]rs for dividing Wolsingham Comon of Sir W[alte]r Blackett’s claim thereon; which to be sure Mr Maughan forgot to do : but I wrote him immediately on Sir W[alte]rs giving me your Letter; and make no doubt but he has before this waited upon one of the Commissioners. Whoever was the Solicitor or manager for this Act of parliament has neglected to give Sir Walter or any of his Agents any of the Acts. however I have not seen one; and if it had not been for your Letter should perhaps not have known how to have remedied the omission you were so good as acquaint us of. Sometime ago you gave me a piece of paper relating to a piece of ground at Stanhope hope which Fra[nci]s Jaques formerly rented of S[i]r W[alte]r Blackett and about 12 or 13 year’s ago sold to on Hopper of Stanhope; which paper I then could not tell what to make of But I should now be very much obliged to you if you could make out from any old people in your neighbourhood the Limits of what Fra[nci]s Jaques had
