To Messrs Peareth & Cookson London 21st May 1767 Gentlemen As it is probable in a few Years, or sooner there may be occasion to enter into Treaty with the Bishop of Durham for a renewal of a Life in the Lease of the Leadmines held under his Lordship, I shall esteem it a favour (as it must be of Service to whomsoever may treat with his L[or]ds[hi]p if you will take the trouble of examining all the Accounts necessary (which Mr Richmond will lay before you) to give You thorough information into that Matter, so that you may say what Sum in your Judgement ought to be paid for Such renewal & your Opinion will be a particular Satisfaction to Gentlemen Yours etc Wr Blackett
