           In Hexham



Sir      Yesterday I received the Articles for the building Hexham Bridge dated 28th July 1767; which you sent me for Sir Walter Blackett: & I have this Morning delivered the same to him.

     Sir Walter tells me you gave him the paper dated paris 24th Octo[be]r 1770 respecting the said Bridge & therefore I here inclose you your Letter advising the receipt of it, according to your desire.                   I am etc    HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
