To Richard Wilson Esq[ui]r[e]e Newcas[tle] 11 May 1765 In Leeds Yorkshire Sir Inclosed is Bell Cookson & o[th]ers bill on Vere Glyn & Hallifax for two hundred ans seventy eight pounds nine shillings & ten pence for the balance of the inclosed acco[un]t of your rents to Martin[ma]s last. I desire you will favour me with advise of your receipt of the Bill by the return of the post and that you will sign and return me the inclosed duplicate of the account, & at the same time acknowledge the receipt of Miss Headdlam’s receipt for the nine pounds which is also here inclosed. That East and West Kenton may originally have been enjoyed under one title is very probable; but, I doubt, at this day the modus of 13s.4d which is paid by Sir W[alte]r Blackett for the small tithes of East Kenton cannot be extended to cover your Estate at West Kenton. As to the hay tithe Sir Walter pays the Vicar a modus of 8s.0d and you pay him one of 8s.4d for It. The corn tithe of both Estates is paid in kind to Mr Ridley as Lessee, I believe, of the Dean and Chapter of Carlisle. Please to direct your Letter to me and then inclose it under cover to Sir Walter Blackett at his house in Newcastle to the care of Henry Richmond. who is etc Hen Richmond No. 13729 £278.9.10 Newcastle 11 May 1765 Thirty days after date pay to the order of Mr Henry Richmond Two hundred, seventy eight pounds nine shillings & ten pence.
