Sir Inclosed are two parts of my Acco[un]t of your half year’s rent of west Kenton estate due Mayday last: One of which I have signed and the other I desire you will please to sign & return me and also that you will advise me of Joseph Kings bill on Henton Brown & son for two hundred & seventy eight pounds one shilling & sixpence which I here inclose you for the balance of the said Acco[un]t. As to the arrear of the £100 and int[e]r[es]t he shewed me your Letter giving him to Candlemas for the payment of it. Inclosed also is Miss Headlam’s receipt for nine Pounds for her half Year’s int[e]rest.

Dr Brown, Vicar of Gosforth has demanded of Mr King tithe of turnips and potatoes and agistm[en]t. The modus of 8s.4d which you pay him is expressed to be a modus for hay tithe only - you will please to give directions how Mr King is to conduct himself.

Inclosed are abstarcts of two deeds that were shewn me lately by a shoemaker in this Town who expected that one of them was the deed for which the reward of £100 was offered some years ago. I satisfied him of the contrary. But if you think they are worth your having I believe they may be got for a trifle.

Please to seal and direct your Letter to me and then inclose it in a cover directed to Sir W[alte]r Blackett B[arone]t MP in Newcastle upon Tyne and write Free under the word Tyne and it will be a mark to prevent its travelling further.

I wish you the compliments of the ensuing season. I am etc Hen Richmond
