To Mr Thomas Forster at Lucker, near Belford                                    Newca[stle] 28 Febry 1769

Sir

Mr Forster of Cambo will be at Lucker on Tuesday the 7th of next Month to make a Valuation of your Farm, by Sir Wr Blackett’s desire; that he may know what may be reasonable to ask for it. & Mr Bell will come at the same time to settle for the Tithe of Lucker Moor & receive, if it be convenient, either money or your promisory Note for whatever it may amount to. Mr Bells receipt will be a Sufficient discharge for what you pay him for Sir Wr Blackett on the above mentioned Account. I am etc    HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
