To Mr Thos Maughan at Newhouse in Weardale Newca[stl]e 16 March 1769 Sir I rec[eiv]ed a Letter last post from Sir Wr Blackett, in which he desires me to acquaint you that according to your Letter to him of the 13th of last Month he enquired of Mr Robinson, who bought in the bill for the division of Lands in the Township of Temple Sowerby, & has reason to believe it is a fair bill. Sir Walter says he saw the bill but the Blanks, as he remembers, were not all filled up & that it is left in the usual way to Commissioners. In a postscript to the Letter, Sir Walter adds that he has just heard from Mr Robinson that the bill is gone to Temple Sowerby to be settled by the land holders as to the Manor of dividing & in all respects settling the Bill, & then to be sent to parliament.
