Mr Thomas Maughan at Newhouse Newcas[tle] 25 September 1765 Sir I desire your pay may be made on the 23 Octo[be]r next so you will come hither on the 20 and receive the money on the 21 go home on the 22nd and pay it the 23. Mr Westgarth writes Sir W[alte]r that the Commissioners for dividing Wolsingham Comon held their first meeting on Friday last but no body appeared to put in any claim for his Estate at Wolsingham. He says that by the Act notice must be given to some one of the Comm[issione]rs within a month from Friday last or else Sir W[alte]r will lose all right in the Common so pray go immediately to one of them & deliver him the inclosed form (after you have wrote it over & signed it) or else if you can hear of a better follow it only keep a copy and take somebody to be a witness pray get one two or three of the Acts for I have not yet seen any of them. I hereby give notice pursuant to the Act of Parliament for the division of Wolsingham Comon that Sir W[alte]r Blackett claims a right of Comon on the said Comon in respect of his Estate at Wolsingham called [left blank] & let to [left blank] for [left blank] A Year For S[i]r W[alte]r Blackett T.M. To Mr [left blank] one of the Comm[issione]rs for dividing Wolsingham Comon. N.B. Put in the Date and fill up the blanks. I am etc HR
