Hond Sir

	Richard Abridge was paid his Wages before he set out, & I have since paid Samuel Tomlins, the Cook, in full of his wages and for his Journey; having first settled with him the House Notes.  Dr. Fawcett who has been seized suddenly with a Cholera Morbus & was very ill of it, is quite recovered & able to do duty again.  I have paid Dr. Sharp the £80 for Branxton Living  & he says Ld Crew’s Trustees  do not intend applying to Parliamt this Sessions for the Act to settle their Boundaries.  The Opposers of the Javel Group Bridge had another Meeting yesterday; at which £50 was subscribed: which is but a small Sum to pay the Borers, & Mr. Milne, & to support an opposition.  in this Cause Dr. Hall has subscribed five Guineas.  I find there is a dread among some of the Inhabitants of the Sandhill & Side that a dry Arch is to be thrown over the Close & the Road to mount up the Long Stairs, and by the Castle Garth to the Head of the Side!
