To Sir Wr Blackett Baro[ne]t at Wallington Newca[stle] 10th Sept 1768 Hon[ou]r[e]d Sir Dr Fawcett desires his Compliments and is obliged to You for the Venison which came just according to their wishes. A Little for our Christening dinner will be acceptable & as soon as I can fix the day I will acquaint You. I think it can hardly be in this Mayoralty but I hope early in the next and while you are in Town to avoid giving You a Journey on purpose. Your intention of being at the Baptism is an Additional instance of goodness for which I return my humble Thanks. Mr John Cookson will not be at home till the latter End of next Week and then I will endeavour to see him and fix about his Venison. I wrote to Mr Maughan to send the two Sheep to Wallington at different times – about ten days asunder. I have not spoke yet to the Plumber; not shall till your further Order. I wonder Mr Errington did not think of the Expence attending the Arbitration – You have paid every Thing but Mr Wilsons and the Surveyor’s bills which are not yet brought in – so that your disbursem[en]t amounts to £59 18s 3d his half of w[hi]ch is £29 19s 1 ½ d The pine apple Suckers mentioned in the inclosed Letter are sent by the Cart; as Robin says he has not room for them here, without displacing others.
