Piccadilly London                                                                         Newcas[tle] 14 April 1766

Hon[ou]rd Sir       I have received the schedule of the quarterly payments to be made in London; and shall be preparing a state of your affairs against your coming hither.

I have not yet heard of any proposals delivered Mr Grey for Unthank Colliery; but by a Letter Mr Brown shewed me lately it appears Mr Douglas and some other Berwickers have thought of her; and have been sounding Mr Smith the Agent, whether heard be concerned with them. Mr Brown has now sent in his acco[un]t of the winning this colliery; which has cost above £1800.

I have inserted the Advertisement for the sale of Fenwick & Woodcroft in our newspapers: and expect every post to hear from Mr C. Johnson about the copyhold. I am very glad of your good health & am etc   HR
