There are two half Year’s Rents, due Mich[aelma]s last, ready to be paid to whom Mr Towers shall appoint; either here or at Hexham. I wrote Mr Bell about Mr Tulips demand, which you are not liable to pay: the paying it would bring upon you many of a like Nature; whenever your rents are distrained for. I have wrote to Mr Forster & when he comes to Town with John Shafto will take Mr Wilson’s Opinion on how the penalty is to be recovered against Roger Marshall & the other Man. I am very glad you find benefit from the Med’cine you have taken; & wish your Attendance on public business till such late hours, may not lessen it Efficacy. I am etc HR
