To Sir Wr Blackett Bt MP in Half moon street Newca[stle] 21 Mar 1767 Piccadilly London Hon[ou]r[e]d Sir Mr Brown has proved the Will & has got Administration so I am going over to day to sort Mr Robsons papers & other things & deliver him what belonged to Mr Robson w[hi]ch he is very urgent for. Every thing relating to y[ou]r affairs I shall take care to keep & also all the Money till his Acco[un]t is made up, w[hi]ch I doubt will be difficult to do. Mr Douglas writes me he had rec[eiv]ed a plan with orders to go on with the pitmens houses according to it he says they must be built without delay or else they cannot go on with the colliery. I have wrote him that what directions Mr Robson had given him I believed you would have no objection to his executing. He says they want 40 Acres of ground & to have the road mended: but that must be postponed till you appoint somebody in Mr Robsons room. I have p[ai]d Mr Liddell the garden bill as the men cannot wait any longer & he will distribute the money among them. I shall keep the D[uke] of Portlands papers till I receive orders about them. then Mr Brown wants much to have them. Mr Fawcet says he should have Mr Robsons acco[un]ts with his Grace to enable him to settle with him. I doubt I shall not be able to get thro’ with the papers to morrow but shall be obliged to go over again: for I cannot stay longer more this Journey than Monday Morn[in]g. I am etc HR
