The advertisement about Unthank Colliery was not inserted in the last Saturdays papers; because Mr Brown had not sent the plan of the Colliery as he promised, and which was to have been sent to Mr Grey previous to the publication. And it is well it was not inserted as Mr Brown declares, he would not have been answerable for it, as it was not according to truth. It is now altered, as in the inclosed copy, and will be inserted in the next Saturday’s papers; and in the London and Edinburgh papers as you ordered. I am afraid the Ship Masters petition against the Fitters, and which I understand will be in London before this, will occasion you a deal of trouble. I heartily wish you health to bear it.
