Mr Westgarth Forster Newcas 23 Novr 1773 at Coalcleugh Sir I suppose Mr Westgarth is not well enough to come down hither next Week; if he is Sir Walter desires to see him here on Friday se’night the 3d of Decemr but if he cannot come you will without fail - He desires that in the meantime you will take a view of Allanheads Mine & consider with yourself how she can be carried on in the cheapest and most profitable Way to Sir Walter considering the present low price of Lead - I have wrote to Mr Caleb Hunter and he and you will fix the day for making this View - he and Mr Richd Allgood are to come down at the same time with you & you will give my Compts to Mr Westgarth & tell him that if he is not well enough to come down I desire he will inform you how he thinks Coalcleugh should be carried On to be profitable to Sir Walter at this time I am etc HR
