Sir

	In Answer to your Letter to Sr Wr Blackett about two proposals for Leases of Lead Veins in Hexham Comon; he says he has no Objection to let at a 1/5th of the Ore well washed & for the Term of Twenty one Years if the Ground to be let was but well ascertained as therefore the Quantity in a Tack Note usually is Twelve hundred Yards in length and twenty Yards on each Side of the Vein so I would have you fix with Mr Marshall & Mr Teasdale where their respective Tacks are to commence & then I will get Mr Bell to see them both & as soon after that as I can they will have Sir Walters determination - Care must be taken that Mr Teasdale’s Ground does not interfere with Mr Marshall’s - I hope you will be able to get this settled against you come down                                  I am etc   HR
