Sir            I did not answer your letter of the 6th instant directly because it required time to consider how I could do without the £1200 I had reckoned on  -  and I find by postponing some payments (that indeed should not be put off) I may rub on till Mayday without even the £500 which you say is all that can be spared of the Money saved on transferring the Mortgage on Wallington.  At Mayday I hope the purchase money for Woodcroft will be paid if no difficulties come in the way.   As to the £1200 for Hexham Ferry I know nothing certain when it is to be paid but think I have heard Mayday spoken of for it; when Mrs Jurin’s Tenant will be clear of his Lease.  I hope you will take Care whenever the Money is to be paid to have the Purchase Deed executed by all the proper parties.

   You may send me if you please a Copy of the Mortgage deed to Sir Edward Winnington or if it is very long an Abstract of it may do.           I am etc              HR
