Sir

Sir Walter Blackett has agreed with Mr Wilson of Leeds for the Sale of East Kenton Estate for £24000, the Writings to be ready for Execution on or before the 18th of Novemr next, and £10000 part of the purchase money to be then paid to Sir Walter and the rest to remain in Mr Wilson’s hand under the present Mortgage, if the Mortgagees choose it; which is what Mr Wilson desires to know. Mr Wilson also desires the Title may be communicated to Joseph Banks of Lincolns Inn Esq and Sir Walter bids me write you to do so; as it will save sending things backwards & forwards. I am etc    HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
