To Mr Darwin Greys Inn London Newcas[tle] 23rd Nov[embe]r 1765 Sir I rece[ived] your favour of the 19th inst[an]t [this] month giving an acco[un]t that you had received five pounds for the quar[te]rs dividend of my 500 in the 4 p[er] cent: consol: 1762 due mich[aelmas] last and that you had sold the said stock for £572.10s.0d from which the Letter of Attorney and Brokerage wch are 16s.6d being deducted there remained £571.13s.6d so that I have made you D[ebto]r for £576.13s.6d. Your said Letter of the 19th instant [this month] inclosed me ten Bank post bills for £50 and one Bank cash bill for £15 in all five hundred and fifteen pounds in part of the said Dividend and sale and I have given you consideration for that sum in the acco[un]t between us. I am much obliged to you for the trouble you have had about this affair. P.S. S[i]r W[alte]r is to be at Hexham next week when the Mollersteads deeds and also the Bill will be finished. I have been abroad this week: but shall apply to Mr Johnson soon about Woodcroft and the deeds relating to the Copyhold part of it, having got your Letter about them. I am etc HR
