To Mr Darwin Grays Inn Newcas[tle] 26th June 1765 London Sir To what I wrote you in my Letter of the 16th April last about the conveyance of Mollarsteads to the Governours of Queen Ann’s bounty on their paying Sir Walter Blackett £1000. I have now to add, by his directions, that he did on the 21st instant execute a deed of Gift of £200 for the augmentation of Ninebanks Chapel and another of £200 for the augmentation of Hexham curacy; which two sums are to be detained out of the said £1000 by the Governours so that Sir Walter will have to receive of them only £600 & some acknowledgement I suppose that he has paid the said two sums of £200 and £200. You will observe what I mentioned in my Lre of the 16 April of the deed containing the Grant of the patronage of Whitley Chapel to Sir Walter; which deed when executed by the Governours was to have been delivered to you. I desire you will enquire of Mr Chesters, their solicitor, about it, for if we do not get it Sir Walter will have nothing to shew that the patronage is in him. I am etc HR
