To Mr Darwin - Greys Inn Newcas 27th Janry 1772 London Sir Sir Walter set out for London this morning & expects to get thither on Saturday Evening or Sunday Morning. I have sent with him directed for you the purchase Deeds of Overhuntrods Estate which you are to deliver to Mr. Chesters Chancery Office as soon as some Admittances necessary to Compleat the Title can be obtained at Hexham Court, & sent up to you by the post. when you get the whole then, on delivery of them, the two bills which Sir Walter sent you on Sir Jeffery Elwes may be presented for payment. I shall be obliged to you if you will the next time you write let me know, in Confidence, whether you have heard any Thing lately of my Brother os can form any probable conjectures about him _ for I begin to fear for him; as your Clerk wrote my Sister Headlam he was seen about six weeks ago in a street leading to the Foundling hospital & as he has not wrote to her nor any body here that I can hear of for about six months; tho he knows his nephew George Headlam was intended to have been bound to him: & my Sister does not know what Steps to take till she has his Consent.
