Letter – Henry Richmond to William Darwin – 28 Apr 1765

To Mr Darwin Grays Inn London                                   Newcastle  28 April 1765



Sir         I have reci[eve]d your Letter of the 25th inst[an]t inclosing me a Receipt for £140 for Messrs Vener & Glover’s ½ year’s int[e]r[es]t  & another for £140 for Mrs Sambroke’s ½ year’s int[e]res]t; both w[hi[ch sums I have given you cred[i]t for in your acco[un[t with me. And I have debited you therein for the £18.4s.0d wch you have reci[eve]d of Mr Mw Lowthian as the  balance of the  purchase you made of stock on my bro[the]r Lowthian’s acco[un]t & thank you for your trouble in that affair.    I made no doubt but my bro[the]r  Lowthian wo[ul]d communicate to you my Lre to him in relation to the estate wch he wants to purchase near London & therefore did not trouble you with any Letter about it & I now only mention it to desire you will charge him for whatever business he applyes to you about & then I shall have more satisfaction in writing to you upon such subjects.
