To Mr Darwin - Greys Inn Newcas 29th June 1772 London Sir I have received the Box containing your Assignment of the Trust Term to Bryan Burrell Esq. I have also received your Letter of the 20th instant inclosing Mr Cooksons Letter to Sr. Wr. for Charity & mentioning one you have from Richd. Barr of the like Sort & have acquainted Sir Walter Blackett of them, who says he desires to be excused - I am obliged to you for your Letter about Glyn & Hallifax - our Bankers took immediately the proper Steps for payment of all the bills they had drawn on them at John Cookson Esqr. No. 66 Lombard Street. But they have had some difficulties to struggle with these on Accot. of a Run upon them, which has made it necessary this day for the principal Gentlemen of the Town and Neighbourhood to enter into an Association to take up all Notes that shall be brought for payment within a limited time and give in lieu thereof their promisory Notes payable at 20 Days - Sir Walter has been very much out of Order within these few days - but he had a good Night, Last Night, and is better to day - I hope you are very well I am etc HR
