To Mr Darwin Greys Inn London Newca[stle] 30th Novemr 1768 Sir I have received your Letter of the 26th inclosing me Mr Savage’s receipt for four hundred & ninety five pounds for the half year’s int[e]r[es]t due from Sr Wr Blackett on the 6th of this Month and have given your Acco[un]t with me Credit for the Same. You will probably get franks now from Sir Walter; but if you should direct any more Letters with the word “free” as was settled between us, I wish you would let there be an inclosure to me; for sometimes for want of That, your Letters of Advice of Bills make but an imperfect voucher for me. There would have been if Sr Geo Trevelyan had lived till the 5th of Octor last, a qua[rterl]y Annuity of £12 10s 0d due to Mr Hudson on Sr Wrs bond: who bid me write you to pay this £12 10s 0d for which Mr Hudson will draw upon You, no doubt, as I have wrote him accordingly by this nights post. I hope Sr Wr is got well to London & am etc HR
