	Inclosed Bell Cookson & Comps. Bill on Castell Whately & Co. payable to me or Order at 20 Days from this day & endorsed to you to enable you to pay the half Years Composition for the Tithe Ore of Weardale Mines, which will be due to Mr. Thurloe the 22d. instant - You will please in the mean time to place it to my Account and advise me of the Receipt of it - I shall in a few posts send you a Bill for Sir Edward Winningtons half year’s intrt. - Our Bankers have had some difficulties from the panic occasioned by the failures of so many of their Fraternity, as you may judge from the inclosed paper - but the run upon them continued but a few days; and there is now an End of it                                  I am etc             HR

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
